Shane Delia is an award winning chef, entrepreneur and director of the Delia Group. He was also the founder of lockdown sensation food delivery marketplace Providoor. Shane has an extensive media presence as a television presenter, print contributor, author, charity spokesperson and brand ambassador. In addition to regular television hosting appearances, Shane created three series of his own; Spice Journey, Recipe For Life and Middle East Feast. His first series, Spice Journey has aired in 135 countries, across five continents and spanned over three seasons. It explores the beauty and mystique of Middle Eastern food, history and culture.

Recipe for Life is an eight-part series focusing on helping local communities. It examines the role of food in forming connections, particularly in underprivileged communities. The series shines a light on the balance between business, health and family, encouraging smarter food choices in secondary schools and migrant communities. Middle East Feast explores the unique cuisine iconic to different regions across the Middle East. Featuring some of Melbourne’s most beloved chefs, each episode brings exotic flavours to simple home cooked meals, with a focus on family and togetherness.

Shane’s restaurant portfolio includes flagship and Australian dining institution Maha. With an innovative nod to their Mediterranean influences, Maha skilfully redefines this ancient cuisine through modern dining. Shane’s exciting and full flavoured Middle Eastern food has made Maha a pillar of Melbourne’s fine dining scene.

In 2015, Shane launched Biggie Smalls – his  “new world” kebab focused diner – which brought a fun-loving, vibrant style to the Delia Group restaurants. It delivers all the hallmarks you've come to expect from a Delia Group venue, but with a little more attitude, and all to the beat of 90s hip hop culture. 2019 saw the opening of Maha East, sister venue to Maha. With the casual atmosphere of a neighbourhood wine bar, Maha East offers diners the opportunity to experience everything they love about Shane’s food in a more relaxed environment. Later that year, Shane launched Middle Ground at Melbourne Airport, purpose built for the health-focused airport traveller.

The launch of Providoor in 2020 saw Shane lauded as one of Victoria's most prominent entrepreneurs, credited with keeping hundreds of people employed and many businesses afloat during the unpredictable course of the pandemic. Shane completely changed the landscape of meal delivery and the at-home dining experience. After almost overnight success in Melbourne, Providoor's reach expanded to Sydney and Brisbane.

Shaking up Bond Street in 2022, Jayda, an extravagant cocktail bar situated on the ground floor of a 1930s art deco building, made its mark. Located next door to Delia’s flagship restaurant, Jayda showcases bespoke cocktails and an inventive Middle Eastern-inspired snack-centric menu. With the intention of becoming ‘Maha’s thirsty neighbour’, Jayda’s backbone of sophistication and class has cemented this venue as the perfect place for guests to begin or conclude an unforgettable evening.

In 2023, Maha North hit the scene. Maha North brings the same menu and ambiance as its sister location, Maha East — the popular Windsor wine bar by Delia. However, Maha North adds a northside twist to the mix. The restaurant serves a range of signature Middle Eastern-inspired dishes in a charming and unassuming atmosphere. Maha North prides itself on offering a sophisticated dining and drinking experience that celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients and daring flavours.

Outside of hospitality, Shane is a proud ambassador of a number of local and international brands including Mercedes-Benz Australia, Western Bulldogs Football Club, Melbourne City Football Club, Host Plus & La Marzocco.

Family is always at the core of all that Shane does. He is a dedicated husband to his wife Maha and father to his daughter Jayda and son Jude.
